MONITORS: We’re asking all members of GAC to consider becoming a monitor at the Art Center. This volunteer opportunity involves one or two 3 hour shifts a month. Our monitors are the dedicated people who keep your Art Center open! Interested members will be trained by one of our experienced monitors, usually in just one session. You will receive a packet of info on monitors’ duties and procedures that will help you familiarize yourself with the job. In addition to the initial training session, you’ll be able to shadow experienced monitors during their shifts, as many times as you feels necessary before monitoring on your own. Even though this is a volunteer position, we do have a MONITOR REWARDS PROGRAM in place, enabling you to earn points based on the number of shifts you take each month. These points translate into discounts that can be applied to your tuition for classes and workshops. The more you monitor, the greater discount you will earn on your tuition. These points and percentages are compiled once every four months. If you monitor once a month for four months, you’ve earned a 10% discount on classes and workshops. Monitor more often, and your discount increases. More info about the Rewards Program can be found by going to greensburgartcenter.org and clicking on the “welcome” printed in white letters under the paint tubes. From there click below on “Monitor Rewards Program”. If you or anyone you know is interested in learning more about monitoring, please contact Alice O’Brien at  alicemob@yahoo.com.
