HAPPENINGS AT THE GREENSBURG ART CENTER EDUCATION
The education committee is working on a schedule for Winter Workshops and will publish it in early January.
Class proposals for the regular Spring class schedule are due Jan 31. The Spring schedule of classes will begin in March.

Change of schedule: “Have Fun Painting and Critiquing on Tuesdays” will now meet 1:30-4:30. This open studio will not meet November 26 or December 24. This change will be in effect until the end of the year. When a new class schedule comes out, new times will be posted.

Note: The open studio fee will increase to $5 in January. This fee covers the cost of building use, utilities and scheduling.

ATTENTION FIGURE DRAWING ARTISTS!  COOL WEATHER DRAWING FUN!! –
A small but mighty group of artists rise to the occasion on the third Thursday of each month from 10 to 1:00 as they capture the gesture of a fellow human being!  Sound intimidating? Never fear!  A supportive group will share tips, strategies, and experiences to help get you on the journey.  Incorporate whatever medium you choose or come just to observe before jumping in to paint or sketch. Just a reminder that our charge of just $10.00 includes both live model and building use fee.
Not ready to sketch but would like to sit for the group or maybe know someone who would be a good candidate for the figure drawing experience   Let Nancy Dalverny at 412-523-6686 or Carolyn Taylor know at 724-219-9330.

President’s Message January 2025
As we head into the New Year, I look forward to advancing the Greensburg Art Center’s    role as vehicle of creativity for our members, prospective members and our surrounding community.   I look forward to working with Doris Wood as our vice president and with Janice Decker our secretary. We have new chairpersons of Artist Market, Mary Yeager and Tami Krusper.  Please support their endeavors by volunteering to be on the committee. Mary has also taken over Art on the Vine.  She and I welcome your support in this event as well.  The Education Committee, Nancy Dalverny, Pat Majcher and Shirleah Kelly, have developed an amazing January- February Workshop schedule that is guaranteed to entice all of us to shake off the warm winter blanket and make our way to GAC for artistic inspiration.  Spring class schedule is in the planning stages.  Contact the committee if you have an interest in teaching a class or would like to suggest one.  I am anticipating a great 2025 with your support and collaboration. – Rose
