ART ON THE VINE

Yes, it’s that annual party everyone looks forward to, the pairing of great food and wine from Greendance Winery of Mt. Pleasant.  This year, it is scheduled for Friday, April 11 from 6 to 9pm.  Please mark it on your calendar and make your reservation.
This year, we are honoring the artists Frida Kahlo and Diego Rivera. Considering that, we will have a Mexican themed party which will be colorful and festive.  The band String Theory will provide entertainment, and several Virtual Reality headsets will be available to experience, but the focus is on the Food and the Wine.
The online registration is available as well as phone, mail or stopping by the Art Center.
ARTWORK IS NEEDED FOR THE SILENT AUCTION   Maximum size 16 x 20 including frame. Please tag with artist’s name and suggested selling price, please wrap/protect your work.  All mediums are accepted.  Drop Off in the back of the classroom by March 20.  Look for a box tagged ‘Silent Auction’. If your piece does not sell, please take home after event, or pick up as soon as possible.  You will be notified if it does not sell.

ATTENTION FIGURE DRAWING ARTISTS!  COOL WEATHER DRAWING FUN!!
A small but mighty group of artists rise to the occasion on the third Thursday of each month from 10 to 1:00 as they capture the gesture of a fellow human being!  Sound intimidating? Never fear!  A supportive group will share tips, strategies, and experiences to help get you on the journey.  Incorporate whatever medium you choose or come just to observe before jumping in to paint or sketch. Just a reminder that our charge of just $10.00 includes both live model and building use fee.  Not ready to sketch but would like to sit for the group or maybe know someone who would be a good candidate for the figure drawing experience   Let Nancy Dalverny at 412-523-6686 or Carolyn Taylor know at 724-219-9330.
