LANDSCAPE IMPROVEMENTS

  • The Greensburg Art Center is pleased to announce more landscape improvements are forthcoming. The view of the Art Center and its Sculpture Garden from Route 30 is taking on a “new and improved” look. The large metal sculptures designed by famed Seton Hill Sculptor, Josefa Filkosky, have been repaired and refinished by Rocky Mountain Garage. Josefa was an art instructor at Seton Hill College from 1959-1999 when she died. The sculptures’ new bright colors bring life to the grassy area.
  • Thanks to a Grant from the Lincoln Highway Corridor and donations from the MEMBERS and Community, a border of boulders, trees and shrubs will be installed by Greene Landscape along the property that is adjacent to Route 30. The border will include lighting, bringing visual attention to the Sculpture Garden and safety to the parking lot.

CATHY ROSENSTEEL MEMORIAL  A Memorial Exhibition of Cathy’s artwork and jewelry will be held on September 15-19 with a reception on September 19, 1-3pm. A sculpture created by Ginger and Gary Hepler with Rose Sovyak will be installed and dedicated at the reception.

GLORIA GONZALEZ recently passed. Gloria was an active member of the Greensburg Art Center. Her paintings, ceramics and photography were exhibited many times in our Gallery and Classroom. A Memorial Exhibition of her photographs is presently hanging on the classroom walls. This exhibit will continue through May 22. On that date May 22, 6-9pm there will be a Tribute to Gloria.
